A summary of my last few months.....
Been doing a lotta thinking... (this pic is supposed to represent the 3 musketeers but I guess it was the most thoughtful thing I could come up with).
And some doing....up a few mountains in Wales, getting friendly with the sheep as they attempted to infiltrate our tents at midnight. Also on this legendary expedition, I almost died of hypothermia in gale force winds with torrential rain, but fortunately, we were rescued, thus I live to tell the tale. Unfortunately, I do not have photographic evidence of this traumatic, yet memorable experience...but I shall leave you to imagine....
Last school term, there were many distractions from the joy of preparing for exams......
Lol...flexibility...I believe I won the limbo contest!
Before night out:
Primary Obsession of last term: Firefly/ Serenity
Current Obsession: Grey's Anatomy (most amazing TV show I've ever seen...I could go on, but apparently, I talk too much about it)
Lena (and parents) visited me during Easter break....toured Cambridge university....unfortunately, Lena didn't find it as inspiring or as exciting as I did....she may apply to Harvard instead.
Don't we look like funny Chinese tourists?? Cambridge university is divided into several colleges, and the above photo was taken in Gonville and Caius College, where I will be going, provided I meet the conditions of my offer (3 A's at A level in science subjects).
Anyway, despite all these distractions in the UK, I miss Chicago and all my amazing friends there. I could go on, at risk of sounding extremely cheesy so I shall spare you..... Bless you all anyway.
I'm thoroughly looking forward to flying back on July 26th and hopefully staying until October 1st. I'm currently summer-job hunting....wanting something fun with reasonable pay and not too much commitment....please email me if you have any suggestions. I really don't know much about the working life of teenagers in Chicago, so some inside info would be very much appreciated!
